Will Bid Goodbye

After nearly 3 years, 1amfirst Blog will bid goodbye early summer 2011. This is to give way for the new blog to be named soon. The new blog will be powered by Wordpress, bye Blogger too.

Anyway, stay tuned for further updates.

My BirthDay 2010

December 21

12:00 am: Abot ang tunog ng CP ko, salamat sa mga nakaalala at bumati sa pagsapit ng saktong December 21.

3:30 am: Gumising ako para gumayak sa Simbang Gabi with my Family.

4:30 am: Isang malamig na Simbang Gabi (Actually, it's the only Simbang Gabi I attended. LOL)

6:00 am: We went straight to Jobee (ang swerte ng Jobee to have all the blessing straight from the mass)

7:00 am: Bahay na finally, natulog ng 2 hrs to recharge.

9:00 am: NagFB (Facebook) ng sandali at gumayak narin para sa another gala with babes (10:30 am)

11:30 am: Nanood ng Tron Legacy sa SM Cinema 2. Movie Review: Sulit naman ang binayad dahil sa superb effects but ang simple ng story. Pero over-all nag-enjoy naman ako, though puro '100 years'' ang kasama ko. (Wondering pang-oldies ba ang Tron legacy? LOL)

1:45 pm: Without having lunch, I proceeded to my next appointment. A reserved slot for a full body massage.  Gosh it's my first time! Hindi ko na ikukwento ang buong pangyayari, hay sobrang nakakarelax kahit medyo mahal, minsan lang naman eh hehe.

3:00 pm: Finally, went home. Atlast, after receiving several missed calls and sms messages. Hehe.

4:00 pm: Alast, makakatulog narin! Pero isa itong pagkakamali dahil tumawag naman si daddy. (ayaw talaga akong patulugin sa bday ko hehe) Ayun, he greeted me at told his surprise (Can't wait for January!)

7:00 pm: And to top my day, of course mawawala ba ang aking greatest addiction: PIZZA!

12:00 am: Ayun, biglang nakatulog hehehe (tinapos lang talaga ang Dec 21 LOL)

Isang mahaba, hindi malilimutan at masayang araw, Kaarawan para sa akin!

Salamat nga pala sa mga bumati through Facebook and text.

Lesson: Humanap ng oras para matulog at huwag iminom ng inumin na may L-Carnitine, salamat sa loperamide. Hehehehe.

Ang tagal ko hinintay nito. Take a look at the new generation Philippine banknotes, with new security features (mahirap daw i-counterfeit), fresh and younger look of the currency's faces (with a smile on Ninoy's face - 500, as referred to the most unlucky bill last time), featured different scenic places and world class pinoy pride. Well, over-all, I'm impressed bout the look, hoping not to encounter problemS soon. Hehe.

First day of December

December 1, 2010

24 days before Christmas and 20 days before my birthday. Another year added sa aking age. Hay, pero sabi nga ng isa kong friend, Twenteens parin naman daw ako, hehe.

Kahapon, inoffset ko ang pinasok ko ng Monday for the BUSSC Comm Group Team Building Workshop. At dahil rest day ko ito, I decided na doon ko na gawin ang aking Christmas shopping, early indeed. Bumili na ako ng regalo para sa aking inaanak at sa mga 'sabit/alalay'. Over-all? I wrapped all the gifts and felt too excited to distribute it all the way! Hihi.
And another thing, my room light was finally fixed, after a heck of a month. Grrr.

Dahil sa pag-off ko ng isang araw, isang tambak na trabaho ang bumungad sa akin, simula palang ng pag-in ko. Masyado naman nila ako namiss ata. Hehe. Anyways, kwento ko nga pala na nagjudge ako ng isang Poster Making Contest for the Dental Health Month primer. Kung dati ay ako ang jinujudge, well hehe. Sa mga hindi po nakakaalam, out of 25 na sinalihan kong poster making, 4 palang dun ang panalo. Maybe ang pagiging judge ang calling ko. Hehe. Naka-relate tuloy ako sa status ni Danica:

"Winners are not those who never fail but those who never quit."


The good thing is, Hindi naman ako nagquit kahit ilang beses akong natalo, the mere fact na piliin ka at magtiwala sa iyo to represent your school is really overwhelming. Sa totoo lang, wala pa pong suporta sa bawat laban ko (no personal trainer, training, etc etc).

4pm Meron naman stress breaker which is the annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony. Na-feel ko ulit na magpapasko na naman. Hay. Another food festivity, sharing, gift giving, simbang gabi, at MMFF movie hopping. Hehe.

Ang haba ng araw na to! Pero it's worth the effort. Seeing those thankful people na napasaya mo through the little time you've given. Diba, it's better to give than to receive?

Multi Tasking: Pros and Cons

Good Uses of Multitasking

Multitasking can be a good thing when trying to get a couple of things done in little time. An example of good multitasking would be listening to the morning news and brushing teeth at the same time.

Another example is talking to a friend while taking a walk. The cell phone and headset have become popular ways to multitask as opposed to old fashioned ways that included having to stay in the home and talk on a land line, which offered little movement.

Poor Uses of Multitasking

Poor uses of multitasking include talking on the cell phone while driving or riding a bike, texting while driving, and typing on the computer while listening to a co-worker. Often, performing these tasks simultaneously makes for a bad recipe.

According to author Evelyn Gray CPO-CD, from the SelfGrowth.com article titled, “Is Multitasking Good or Bad?” doing more than one thing at a time actually confuses the brain and increases a person’s stress level. Gray says that when it comes to the workplace and multitasking “You up your stress level, you lose your clarity and your productivity level, and the bottom line is, you put in longer hours and make less money.”

Doing One Task at a Time

Focusing on one task at a time is probably the best task to do. The reason is because a person does not get distracted by another task being performed simultaneously. Problems as a result of split attention do not occur. Doing one task at a time is less dangerous, too. If a person is jogging with a headset on, it is probable that a clear focus on what is happening in the surrounding environment is not really present. Or, if a person is cooking and talking on the phone while trying to discipline the kids, might there be a disaster on the forefront? This type of multitasking can lead to trouble.

Consider the good and poor choices when multitasking. What tasks require more focused attention? Is there a danger involved? In some cases, it's more beneficial to back to the old fashioned way of doing one thing at a time and get more done with better focus.

I prefer multi tasking as long as it does not affect each of your activities. It saves time, thus consumes your energy. Anyway, it's a good brain exercise though. Hehe.

Bye, Paul the Octopus

Paul the Octopus (January 2008 – 26 October 2010) the famous octopus psychic is dead aged 2. According to wikipedia:

On 26 October 2010 Paul died due to natural causes, as reported by Stefan Porwoll, manager of the Oberhausen Sea Life Centre in Germany. His remains will be cremated, but the decision on his final resting place and funeral is yet to be finalized.

It was expected that Paul would die before the UEFA Euro 2012, as common octopuses live on average no more than two years. After the 2010 world cup, Paul's owner Julie McDee said there would be no more predictions, effectively sending him into retirement. His agent, Chris Davies, said "It's a sad day, Paul was rather special, but we managed to film Paul before he left this mortal earth."

Bakit unwind? Kasi after few weeks of work, lumabas naman kami sa aming office para sa ocular visit para sa bagong gagawa ng aming annual, Copy and Pages Corp. 

Copy and Pages office, we were amazed to see their head office and production factory. First, the creative concept of the building. Second, the systematic production as well as a very up to date machinery and materials. Lastly, the hospitable welcome of the staff, from the workers up to the administrative officers. A very memorable experience indeed.

At the mall with Ma'am Pel and Michael, kumain kami sa Sbarro at nag-kwentuhan tungkol sa napakaraming bagay. I am a true blooded pizza lover pero nung moment na yon parang biglang yong nawala! Hindi ko alam, maybe because kumain kami ng "brunch" sa C&P. Pero ngayon ako nagsisisi, kung nasa "Pizza-mood" lang ako kanina, malamang 2 slices ang nakain ko! Harsh.

After that, Michael and I went shopping. While we're walking, may 2 girls kaming natipuhan/nakasalubong which seems naghahanap din ng boys LOL (ui tigisa kami!). Napagusapan namin ni Michael na kapag nagkasalubong ulit kami, ma-Hi Hi na kami sa kanila. Dininig naman ang aming panalangin at nagkasalubong ulit ang aming mga landas, pero parang nabahag yata ang buntot naming dalawa! Haha. Nga pala, finally na-habol ko narin si Solo, nakabili narin ako ng isa sa mga Larry Alkala Collections: 

Hay, ang hirap mong habulin! Haha. 

Nakita at natakam rin ako sa mga pinapangarap kong mga gadgets. Sana mabili ko na ang mga iyon! Huhu.

Ayun after naming mamasyal, umuwi na kami. Bumababa kami sa SM Baliwag,still  hoping na makita ulit namin yung 2 babae sa Trino. Teka, nadun pala mga pinsan ko! Sana di muna ako umuwi. Haist.

Another memorable and happy day!

Lesson: Umihi muna bago lumuwas. Baka makakakita nanaman ng mamang naka-bold na naliligo. Eww.

September 7

What's new? Isang mas pina busy na araw ang Sept 7 para sa akin. Gawa rito, gawa roon. Pero nakapagrelax naman ako ng konti dahil nagmeeting lang kami ng bandang 2pm.

Masaya ang araw na ito dahil nag-Pizza Party kami nina Besfrnd Gean, Partner Shy at Ka-Utak na Mykel sa Italian Square. Super busog kami sa Party Pizza, one pitcher of Mountain dew and Sampler Mango Crepe.

Paguwi naman sa bahay, kain uli dahil bumili ang mga pinsan ko ng mga street foods, at mamaya naman bago matulog, fruit medley na uwi ni Apple from Savemore. Walang katapusang kainan ito basta wag lang sana masira ang tiyan.

Starting today I will try to write on this blog to act as my daily journal.

1st day of September

As usual, ang dami paring gawain sa office. Pagkatapos ng isa, may dadagdag na naman, kaya ang resulta? Same load for everyday. Sabagay, ok lang naman kasi mas nakakatamad ang walang ginagawa sa maghapon.

Dahil hindi ako naglunch ngayong araw na ito, natuloy na ang Pizza ''Party'' namin na pinaguusapan ni Ate Jen, sumama rin si Rollyn. Bago nga pala yan ay ang ambush website approval ng aming EVP na nagpunta pa sa office namin (Whew, ang tagal bago nagsink-in sa akin, hihi).

Sa paguwi naman, as usual, umuulan (lagi naman kapag 5pm mahigit). Nasakay agad ako sa tricycle na amimoý parang nakikipag race sa bilis at apura sa pag over take. Ang nasabi ko nalang sa isip ko "Kuya, kung gusto mo nang mamatay, kaw nalang pwede? Marami pa akong pangarap eh!" Haha. Thank God nakauwi naman ako ng maayos at kumain ng mainit na sopas ni Mame.

Lesson: Take a break AKI, nandyan lang ang trabaho, di ka iiwan nyan. Pero wag mo naman takasan, kasi sa huli, tanging ikaw rin ang gagawa dyan.
