Solar powered toothbrush

Image toothbrush without toothpaste? Impossible?
---
The Shiken Company of Japan is field testing a funky solar-powered toothbrush that doesn't require toothpaste. The Soladey-J3X - designed by Dr. Kunio Komiyama and Dr. Gerry Uswak works as a solar toothbrush a solar panel at its base that transmits electrons to the top of the toothbrush through a lead wire.
It is believed that these electrons react with acid in the mouth resulting in a chemical reaction that breaks down plaque and kills bacteria. This is a great device that apparently doesn’t cost too much either.

Consequences follow.
